C.J. Ham & Vikings Happy To Have Dalvin Cook Back

Missed All But Four Games In Rookie Season

EAGAN, MN  —  As good as the Minnesota Vikings were in 2017 it’s easy to forget how good Dalvin Cook was prior to an injury that cost him the final 14 games of his rookie season.

Augustana alum CJ Ham and the rest of the Vikings remember what they have, and are happy to have him back.

In his first four games, Cook ran for 354 yards and a pair of touchdowns while hauling in 11 passes for 90 yards.  He may well have been on his way to a rookie of the year season until tearing his ACL in Week Four against Detroit.  The Vikings made due with LaTavius Murray and Jerrick McKinnon, but starting fullback Ham knows that they lost a dynamic weapon on offense when Cook went out.  And C.J. is happy to be blocking for him again.

The Vikings open the preseason next Saturday at Denver.
