Iowa Ag Manufacturing Company Almost Back to Normal After July Tornado

TEA, S.D. – Officials with an Iowa Ag manufacturer say the company is close to getting back to normal after a tornado swept through its headquarters last month.

The dealership in Tea has had a few hiccups with getting some parts shipped, but the manufacturing plant in Pella, Iowa continues to recover.

Officials say 86% of workers are back of workers are back and five out of seven buildings are fully functional.

General Manager Ryan Vos says morale is high, which speaks to the strength of the company.

“I would have never thought that we would be as far as we are right now. And, uh, it just goes to show that with the amount of people and the type of people we have, that, we are Vermeer strong,” said Vos.

Vermeer officials say they expect to be back to full operating capacity within the next 30 to 45 days.
