Sioux Falls Police Investigate Shots Fired Downtown, Man Shot in Leg

FROM SFPD: On August 11th at 8:17 pm officers from the Sioux Falls Police Department were approached by a male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The male victim reported to officers that he was in the area of W. 12th Street and S. Summit Avenue when unknown suspects fired a gun into the ground.

One of the bullets struck the victim and he was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The subsequent investigation revealed evidence of a shooting and the Sioux Falls Police Department Crime Lab responded to gather evidence.

The suspects in this case were believed to have left the area of the incident in a late model silver or gray sedan.
