Gettysburg Man Facing Drug, Explosive and Firearm Charges
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A Gettysburg man could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted of drug, explosive and firearm charges.
A grand jury indicted 34-year-old Adam Westphal earlier this month. He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.
The charges stem from an investigation where authorities say Westphal conspired to sell at least 500 grams of meth. Authorities say he also had a homemade silencer and a destructive device that when combined, could be assembled into a bomb.
Westphal was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshall Service.
