Police: Three Arrested for Car Hopping in NW Sioux Falls, Hartford
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three people are facing grand theft charges after authorities say they car hopped in Northwest Sioux Falls and Hartford.
Authorities say they received a report of people going through vehicles in the area of 100 East Ninth Street in Hartford in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Authorities say they received a report of a stolen iPad later Tuesday morning.
Authorities were able to track the GPS coordinates of the iPad to a residence in the 4100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Sioux Falls.
At the residence, authorities say they found additional stolen property. Authorities believe they located property from 15-20 different victims.
18-year-old Jessepe Etta, 18-year-old Ahis Dhimal, and 20-year-old Yosef Kawaja were all charged with seven counts of criminal entry of a motor vehicle, obtaining drugs by fraud or theft, possession of a controlled substance, and grand theft.
