Metallica Donates $10K to Feeding South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – During their visit to Sioux Falls for a sold out show, Metallica also donated to Feeding South Dakota.

The Denny Sanford Premier Center hosted Metallica on Tuesday to a sold out crowd. While in Sioux Falls, the band presented a $10,000 donation to Feeding South Dakota. Feeding South Dakota says the donation will provide 30,000 meals to those who are food insecure in the state.

“We are so excited to have Metallica choose to recognize and support our organization for the work that is being done to end hunger in South Dakota,” said Jennifer Stensaas, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Feeding South Dakota.

Metallica also launched #HardwiredToHelp a volunteering campaign in the community. Feeding South Dakota also had two contests to encourage people to register to volunteer. Two winners received a free pair of tickets for Metallica’s show on Tuesday.
