Huber Glad Augie Baseball to Host Central Region Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Augustana University will host the DII Central I Region in Sioux Falls Thursday through Saturday, May 16-18 at Karras Park, Home of Ronken Field. Games will get underway Thursday with No. 4 seed Minnesota State facing off with No. 5 seed Arkansas-Monticello at 3:30 p.m.  No. 1 seed Augustana will take on No. 8 seed Oklahoma Baptist at 7 p.m. in the final game of day one.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate each day and are good for the entire day. Ticket prices are as follows: $10 (Adults), $5 (Seniors – 65+), $3 (College students w/ ID) and $3 (Youth ages 3-18). The DII Central II Region will be hosted by No. 2 seed Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. as they will face off with No. 7 seed Missouri Southern. The other opening matchup in that region will be No. 3 seed St. Cloud State facing off with No. 6 seed Central Oklahoma.

The winner of each central region will advance to the DII Super Regionals on May 24-25 where the higher seeded team will host a best-of-three game series for a chance to go to the DII College World Series in Cary, N.C. June 1-8.
