Roubideaux Sentenced to 5 Years in Connection with 2018 Murder
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A woman who admitted her role in the death of a Sioux Falls man whose body was left in a ditch, has learned her fate.
A judge sentenced Kelsey Roubideaux to five years in prison after she pleaded guilty to accessory to a felony. She also received five years for an aggravated assault charge from an incident while she was on the run.
The other suspect in the case, 29-year-old Henry Long, was convicted of second-degree murder last month. Authorities say Long shot and killed LaKendrick Thornton and both he and Roubideaux dumped Thornton’s body in a ditch near Renner.
Long’s second-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence.
