Helping borrowers take control of their student loans!

The one-hour seminar will cover:
• locating student loans
• federal vs. private
• subsidized vs. unsubsidized
• deferment vs. forbearance
• delinquent vs. default
• loan rehabilitation
• loan consolidation
• payment plan options
• loan forgiveness programs
Bootcamp will help with these steps and provide resources to sort out student loan options.

The class is open to anyone – from recent grads to those making payments but interested in exploring other repayment options.

Healthy Eating on a Budget @ SDSU Extension Regional Center

Want to eat healthier, but not sure where to start, or unsure if you can afford to eat healthier? If your answer is yes, then this class is for you! Join us for a class learning how to stretch your food dollars, while also making healthier choices for you and your family. We will learn more about nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices; simple ways to increase physical activity; attend a grocery store tour and learn ways to save money when purchasing groceries; learn about tasty, simple ways to prepare a variety of fruits and vegetables; and learn basic skills regarding cooking and food safety. In a fun, welcoming group environment, meet others who are experiencing similar struggles and challenges and learn how you can overcome those barriers. Every class includes cooking (and eating) a fun and tasty new recipe! Additional FREE healthy eating incentives provided for those who attend. Note: This is a series of classes, so please try to attend all of them for the most beneficial experience! The class on June 29 will be a grocery store tour at Hy-Vee (1601 S. Sycamore Ave. Sioux Falls, SD 57110) all other classes are held at the SDSU Regional Extension Center.

34th Annual Granite Threshing Bee @ Threshing Bee Grounds

The Granite Threshermen’s Association will host its 34th Annual Threshing Bee beginning Friday, July 20th with the Antique Tractor Pull at 6:00 PM and continuing with two full days of events on Saturday, July 21st and Sunday, July 22nd. Admission is FREE. A parade of antique tractors, farm equipment and antique cars is held both days at 1:00 PM. Other events include threshing, gas engine and saw mill demonstrations, a kids pedal pull competition and a non-mechanical tractor pull on Saturday evening.
