Homebuyer Express Part 2 @ Main Library

Thursday March 28, 2019 (Part 2)

Homebuyer Express will provide information and resources to purchase and own a home. Topics include: personal money management, credit history review, mortgage financing and the loan process, shopping for a home, homeowner responsibilities, and predatory lending awareness. Homebuyer Express is free and open to the public.

Those unable to attend in person may attend via video conference, but must register 24 hours in advance by calling 1-888-258-2227.

The LSS Center for Financial Resources’ Homebuyer Express series is made possible through a grant from the SDHDA Homeownership Education Resource Organization (H.E.R.O.) H.E.R.O. Certificates of Completion are issued to participants after attending both parts 1 and 2.

4th annual Corks & Collars Fundraiser Event @ Washington Pavilion

Join us for our 4th annual Corks & Collars fundraiser event. This event has become the largest fundraiser for Sioux Empire Pit Rescue and allows us to continue providing the best care possible for pitbull type dogs needing forever homes as well as building owner support programs within the Sioux Falls area. Pioneer Memorial Foundation Extravaganza @ Viborg Community Center

The Pioneer Memorial Foundation will be hosting the “Extravaganza” Event on Friday evening, March 29th at the Viborg Community Center in Viborg, SD. The event will be from 6:00-9:00 pm.

Enjoy a spectacular evening of beverages and fun featuring entertainment by the Autumn Road Band. Bid on auction items during our live and silent auction, and wine pull raffle, while looking at creative tablescapes created by employees, local people and businesses. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served for all those who attend.

Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $30 at the door, it includes the program, and hors d’oeuvres, and admittance to the auction, an evening sure to be enjoyable! Don’t miss out on your chance to own unique and fun items sold at the auction. Tickets are available at the Pioneer Memorial Business Office Front Desk in Viborg. Proceeds will go towards new resident tables and chairs for the Nursing Home residents’ dining room.

Pennington and Ragsdale to Present ‘Times Like These’ @ Hamre Recital Hall in the Humanities Center of Augustana University

The Department of Performing and Visual Arts at Augustana presents a percussion recital featuring Dr. John Pennington, professor of music and percussion instructor at Augustana, and Dr. Aaron Ragsdale, assistant professor of percussion and assistant director of Bands at South Dakota State University.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in Hamre Recital Hall.

The concert will feature a unique program of music for marimbas and vibraphone that will explore an eclectic variety of percussion works.
