Join one of America’s first craft breweries – Empyrean Brewing out of Lincoln Nebraska. They are teaming up with the chefs from Parker’s Bistro to bring you a divinely inspired four-course dinner with some of Empyrean’s most interesting and rare beers. The beer guys will be there to explain how everything was paired up with the food, and there will be pint glass and t-shirts! Everything will be set in the historic “quarry room” located inside Icon, with exposed pink quartzite walls and a vintage elevated loft bar. It’s gonna be fun!

The event kicks off the American Heart Association’s celebration of Heart Month in February. At 4:30 enjoy social hour, a silent auction, and more. The program will begin promptly at 6:30 pm and will feature an inspiring and hilarious keynote address from Amy Dee. Event attendees also will hear from other survivors and experts on ways that they can identify their risk for heart disease and stroke and will also get tips for preventing heart disease through simple lifestyle changes. Strengthening Families 10-14 Program @ carroll institute

Strengthening Families is a 7 week program for families with students ages 10-14. The program centers on strengthening communication and family bonds. Students also work on how to deal with peer pressure and adults learn to set limits with their children, while still showing love. The program is running February 8, 15, 22 & March 1, 8, 15, & 22. The program starts at 5:30 pm with a meal. The total cost for all 7 weeks is $35. We come and eat together as families (meal included with program cost). The youth and adults separate from 6:00-7:00 and work on separate areas more specific to them and then come back together as families from 7:00-8:00 to learn more about each other and have fun together!
